A large California investment bank has settled its long – standing dispute over an investment banking fee with the developer of the largest Iron/Ore deposit in North America. The case, which included a FINRA arbitration, a Delaware bankruptcy filing and an appeal to the Third Circuit, involved an investment banking fee for a $650 million closing. Pastore prevailed over White & Case in Delaware Federal court and the case was settled upon remand from the Third Circuit, which wrote a seminal opinion on “core” jurisdiction as part of the proceedings.
